I haven't posted any London pictures for a while now so let me fix that by sharing some pictures of our beautiful neighbourhood Notting Hill, which I'm totally in love with. It's very central however has a village feel to it. A buzzy, happening village at that.
It's home to some of the most beautiful streets in London. When the weather is nice I like to take a stroll and admire all the stunning houses along them.
Notting Hill is also a great spot for fashion lovers. Westbourne Grove has some of the coolest shops such as Sandro, Maje, James Perse, Zadig & Voltaire, Joseph and Club Monaco to name a few. Just around the corner on Ledbury you also have Matches. The Westbourne Grove / Ledbury corner has great shops for children too. You'll find Bon Point, Petit Bateau and a Marie Claire discount store plus a few other really cute children's boutiques.
I've already told you about a restaurant called The Granger, which is now my favourite local for breakfast or lunch. Other good eateries in the area are The Oak (that's where we are in these pictures), E&O, Mediterraneo and Assaggi. There'll be others worth mentioning, for sure, as I explore more but right now these are the ones I keep on going back to.
The thing is I'm not sure for how long exactly I get to live in this beautiful part of London so I want to enjoy it as much as I can. This year could bring with it a few changes for us. I promise to fill you in as soon as everything is 100% confirmed ;-)

DeleteHello Minna, I remember admiring those beautiful houses on my few trips to London. Living there must be really nice, especially with two little children. When my two little ones get a bit older I'll definitely take them to London, it's by far my favorite city. Greetings from Slovenia.

Nyt täytyy tunnustaa, että olen tipahtanut kärryiltä, luulin että muutitte Maida Valeen, mutta asuttekin Notting Hillissä? Mitä minulta on jäänyt huomaamatta?

Maida Valea en ole voinut edes mainita taalla blogissa, silla en ole tainnut kayda alueella kertaakaan jos ei sen lapi ajoa lasketa ;-) En kylla ihmettele, jos joku on pudonnut karryilta, silla me ollaan viimeisen vuoden aikana muutettu kaksi kertaa. Mutta Notting Hillissa siis ollaan talla hetkella :-)
DeleteAnteeksi, tämä on ihan minun omaa sekoilua sitten :-) Muistelen että remontoitte ihanan vanhan asunnon jokin aika sitten ja se oli jossain Regent Parkin lähistöllä, mutta Notting Hill se ei tainnut olla? Asutteko siinä renontoidussa asunnossa vai jatkoitteko jo matkaa eteenpäin?
DeleteAh okei niin tietty, Marylebonesta puhut! Joo me ehdittiin asua siina asunnossa tosi vahan aikaa. Se osottautui sen verran hyvaksi "bisnekseksi", etta ei voinut olla myymatta. Eli nyt ollaan tosiaan jatkettu siita matkaa eteenpain :-)

Glad you found us :-) No unfortunately it's quite an old Gap knit... I find that they often have lots of good ones though so worth a trip I'm sure!

Moikka Esther, takki on Monclerin. Munkin ihan lemppari, joskin vielakin vahan iso vaikka mies osti sen vuosi sitten, hanella ei lasten vaatekoot ole ihan selvilla ;-)
