JETSET PILATES

If you are planning a trip to Miami and you want to try Pilates this is the place to do it. The studio on South Beach has 8 megaformers (pretty similar to reformers) and you book your classes online.

We did a class at lunch hour and it was nice and  intense. I definitely felt my core and my abs were burning after some sets of planks and pikes.

The only thing I was missing was a towel. Next time I have to remember to bring my own.



After having babies I did quite a bit of Pilates in London and I think it's one of the best ways to flatten your stomach. Also a 50 minute session is relatively easy to squeeze somewhere in your day. No excuses!




And some stretching.

  2. I absolutely swear on Pilates it's the most toning thing. Well, if your diet is good too ;-) I tried something in New York that I loved too, Physique 57. I'd go every day if I lived there, it has some similarities to Pilates.

  3. Onko sulla Minna harjoituksilla ja ruokavaliolla maha palautunut ennalleen? Mun tyttö on nyt 3kk ja muut paikat aika hyvin kondiksessa, mutta mahassa vielä näkyy, että raskaana on oltu.. Ihan vähän "pönppöä" ja iho löysä. Toivottavasti se siitä vielä tokenee!!

Nyt vastaajana Heidi - ma en halua masentaa mutta ma en usko etta iho ja kroppa koskaan palautuu taysin ennalleen raskauksien jalkeen, mutta harjoituksilla ja ruokavaliolla saa paljon aikaan! 3kk on viela tosi lyhyt aika synnytyksesta, aloita rauhallisesti treenaus, staattiset liikkeet ovat hyvia aluksi esim lankku (siis plank). Kylla se siita tokenee!!

    2. Mun mielesta riippuu myos aika paljon vartalotyypista... ma olen "paaryna", joten rasva ei ole ikina keraytynyt vatsan seudulle. Niinpa vatsa palautui ensimmaisen jalkeen melkeinpa taysin, mutta toisen jalkeen ihossa on havaittavissa "mummoryppyja" kun istuu :-) mutta, small price. Ja kuten Heidi sanoo ruokavaliolla ja treenilla saa todellakin ihmeita aikaan! Consistency is key.
