EVENING AT MY ANTIBES FAVOURITE

I know I've told you about this restaurant in Antibes before but it deserves another, fresh post. I took these pictures last week when I dined there with my sisters.

We're talking about Michaelangelo. Mamo, by the way is the name of the owner. A lovely man who is there every single evening greeting his customers.

Melanzane alla parmigiana. Amazing creation made of egg plant and parmesan cheese.

Parma ham and melon. One of my all time favourite dishes. If I had to choose my last meal this would be included.

Michaelangelo's yummy tuna tartar.

My choice of Rose.

My sister's seafood risotto, which used to be the dish I'd go for every time at Michaelangelo. Soooo creamy, cheesy and delicious.

The lamb shank I shared with my other sister. Always a winner, melts in your mouth.

And then an ice cream sundae that would be enough for four people!

Well it would be if you were not a sugarholic like me and able to eat the whole lot in about five minutes all on your own! Quickly, before anyone asks for a spoonful!

And yes, it was Pamela Anderson indeed who walked into Michaelangelo that night. And let me tell you... I doubt that she had one of these sundaes. She was absolutely tiny in every sense and still extremely beautiful. I was so glad to see that, I used to love CJ! ;-)

SISTER ACT

Apologies for a very long silence from my part! My internet went down last weekend and it took me this long to get it going again... It was a bit of a challenge but in the end I manage to install a new Wifi box following instructions in French. And I don't speak French.

So let's get back to last week. My sisters who were staying with me are now unfortunately long gone... They have both now flown back to their home countries. UK and Finland that would be. It was lovely to have them stay! We took a lot of pictures (obviously, as I was around) and these are some of them, taken just before heading out to dinner.

This is not my sister head banging. This is her laughing at us trying to look natural.

Love the rather rock'n roll necklace against lace.

This is my youngest sister btw. She is pregnant and also a mother of a 15-month old! I still think of her as a baby herself. So much so that I often accidentally call her by my own daughter's names!!

I was wearing a top that my other sister who was behind the camera made for me years ago. Love the colour!

After this we headed to my favourite Antibes restaurant for a delicious dinner and guess who walked in as we were tucking into our food? Someone who used to wear a red swim suit and run really slowly on a beautiful beach ;-)

PUREOLOGY

I'm very lazy looking after my hair and my most common only treatment is wiping some left over coconut oil into my hair when I'm cooking.

I had a haircut in London not too long ago with my amazing hairdresser whom I've seen on a regular basis for the last 7 years or so and as my hair was dry like a hayfield he recommended this product: Pureology mask. Works wonders on a dry hair!

ALEX HAMDAN

A little flashback to last March in Miami. I wanted to introduce my beautiful friend Alex to you, especially for the ones based in Miami. She is a fashion designer, stylist, hosts a TV-show on FOX, writes a blog Alex in Style and is a mother and a wife. You can also find her on Instagram.

Here's some photos from a fun night. Clothes by her ;-)

JUST PEACHY

We're having such a busy weekend that there hasn't been any time for blogging but I wanted to say a quick hello to you all. Accompanied with these pictures of Baby M wearing her latest fashion accessory from H&M (similar here). Isn't it cute? To get her to wear it for longer than five minutes at a time is a challenge though... The top is from GAP. One of my go-to places for children's clothing.

Bye! I hope you're having a lovely Sunday! Speak to you soon!

DINNER IN MONACO

Are you ready for one of those restaurant posts with poor quality iPhone pictures? I hope so as this is one!

One of my eldest London friends lives in Monaco these days. My sister and I drove down there for dinner with her the other night. The chosen venue was Sass Cafe. It's certainly not known as a culinary institution but if you want a fun, buzzy and busy restaurant Sass is always a safe choice.

I prefer to sit outside underneath this marquee.

As a pre starter they served us this dish of salmon. I know, you can't see any salmon in there but I promise you there was some. And it tasted very good too!

As my starter I had their bream ceviche. I didn't take a picture of it but I should have as it was delicious. I love a ceviche and the Sass Cafe one was definitely a good one. As my main I had these king prawns that were delicious too. I didn't expect the food to be anything to write home about but I looks like I am! (Writing home about it that is.)

A fun night!

Yesterday we had heavy rain and thunder over here but today it's looking lovely so I'm going to take advantage of that and head down to the beach. See you soon!

A SWEET ADDITION

My sisters made such a lovely salad for us the other night that I thought I'd share it with you. Can't really call it an earth breaking new recipe but just a really nice combination of your ordinary every day ingredients. So what was in it... Baby gem lettuce (my fav out of the lighter coloured ones), rocket, pine nuts in coconut oil, crumbled feta, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red onion, tin tuna and chunks of apple. The latter was the icing of the cake and gave such a nice twist to it. I'm going to start adding apple to my salads more often! As a dressing we once again used just fresh lemon juice and olive oil with plenty of Himalayan salt and black pepper.

WHAT I WORE: SILK AND LEATHER MINUS EYES

Sometimes photographs just really don't go according the plan. This one could only be somewhat saved by cropping my eyes and top of my head off. Sorry, I know it looks slightly strange. This was an outfit for dinner the other evening. Enjoying wearing trousers and long sleeves for as long as I can until it will be too hot for them!

Top: Rag  & Bone (this one)
Leather Leggings: Joseph (here)
Pumps: Jimmy Choo (old)
Necklace: Zara (old)
Cuff: Hermes
Clutch: YSL (old)

STRONG WINDS AND CALAMARI

Guess what... It was grey, windy and rainy yesterday here in South of France when apparently most of Northern Europe was basking in sunshine! So today when the sun made an appearance we rushed to my favourite beach Plage Keller. "We" being my two sisters who are staying with me this week, a few kiddos and myself.

Plage Keller does the best calamari. Naughty and yummy and always a winner with the little people.

But this is my number one dish there... I have it every time without a fail. The lobster and citrus fruit salad. Absolutely delicious.

The little people didn't care about it being rather windy. This is Little M with her cousin, teaching him how to bury yourself in sand.

And this was us admitting defeat and deciding it really was too windy and cold for a beach day. Maybe tomorrow we'll be luckier?
