BABY M'S SKI HOLIDAY

This little blondie was still too young to try skiing. So what did she get up to?

She waited for her sister at the bottom of the magic carpet slope but had zero interest in watching her ski. Taking her hat repeatedly on and off was much more fun.

She danced on the table at Mille Sabords.

And entertained her fellow diners with more hat tricks.

PONY RIDING

If Little M improved in her skiing last week she also got to try something for the first time in her life... horse riding!

On this black beauty. What a cutie! Little M found it hilarious when the pony had to stop to do a poo.

After the pony ride it was time to do some window shopping on daddy's shoulders. Her favourite place that she spends a lot of time at.

LA BOUITTE, SAINT-MARTIN-DE-BELLEVILLE

One of the best days of our holiday was when our friends took us to an amazing hidden gem of a restaurant called La Bouitte. This was us on our way through the slopes of Courchevel and Meribel.

This is what the view looked like on our arrival. Not bad.

The place was pretty inside too.

We were first served some oysters. Not me though, they're one of the very rare foods that I don't like. Unfortunately. I'd like to like them!

They then brought us some different types of breads.

To be enjoyed with different types of butters.

Some amuse-bouche before starters. All delicious, none of which I can remember what it actually was!

Then onto starters. Some delicious foie gras with polenta.

To-die-for snails in a green sauce that was also to-die-for.

My main of chicken with poached potato. Unreal.

The cheese to choose from... I always go for the creamy, salty, runny ones.

A few cows for dessert.

And a few little cakes disguised as macaroons. Fine dining at its very best even if you're like me and not really that keen on fine dining.

We were in no rush after our lunch.

Such a stinking habit... Yet looks pretty cool!

They gave us some hats to wear. They were big enough for some heads.

Nearly there for some.

And nowhere near for some.

We had some Pedro Jimenez, which tasted lovely.

It also made our jokes really funny.

Time to go home! What a special lunch. One that I wish to repeat one day and would recommend to anyone holidaying near enough.

SKIING IN THE SUN

Our ski holiday is nearly finished. We're all packed but we still have one more sunny lunch to look forward to before heading to the airport. Here are some pictures from a few days ago. This is how the weather has been like every day but one.

I didn't wear layers even once. All I wore underneath my ski jacket was a light fleece and even that was often too much. A light jacket and a fleece would have been the ideal combo in this weather.

Little M got to practice her skiing too. During our previous ski holiday she was only 2,5-years old and even though we tried to get her to enjoy skiing it just didn't happen so we didn't push it. This time, more than a year later it was a whole different story. She had an amazing time and loved it! It amazes me how children have no fear. I wish I had started skiing at her age. I was about 26 years older than her when I skied for the first time and fearless certainly wasn't the word to describe me ;-) Still isn't!

HI FROM THE SUNNY ALPS

A quick hello accompanied by some very sunny pictures from the Alps. We couldn't have asked for a better timing for a ski holiday. Apparently the best snow only landed a few days before our arrival and the best weather literally on the day we got here. There hasn't been a cloud in the sky and the snow has been incredible. I'm an average skier but a very keener learner and these conditions certainly help.

These pictures are from the very day we got here. After waking up at 4am, checking in an enormous pile of luggage, fighting through the crowds at luggage reclaim at Chambery and sitting in a traffic for a couple of hours these views looked better than ever. It doesn't really get much better than this!

We're staying in the French Alps in a resort called Courchevel. On our arrival we had lunch at Cap Horn, which is one of the most popular spots for lunch.

He must have been a bit cold!

It was Women's Day, so we got roses! :-)

And saw a few magic tricks.

Hope you're all well, speak to you soon!
